Pending county COVID-19 status, Friends of the Jackson County Public Library plans to hold its bimonthly sale from 11 a.m. to 4 .m. Jan. 8 in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Special Friends-members-only sales are from 10:30 to 11 a.m. that day and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7.

Shoppers in the room may be limited due to social distancing guidelines, and masks are encouraged.

Regular item sale prices are adult hardbacks, softbound books and music CDs for $1, children’s and young adult books and small paperbacks for 50 cents and DVDs for $2. From 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 8, shoppers may use a provided bag to fill for $5.

If the county’s COVID status is orange, yellow or blue, anyone unable to visit the sale can shop from the ongoing sales in the Seymour Library Book Nook or sales carts at the Crothersville and Medora libraries during regular hours. Donations for the sales are accepted during regular library hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend or renewing their annual membership will find the forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or online at myjclibrary.org/friends. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.
