Raymond L. Moore, 93, of Scottsburg, IN passed away at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Majestic Care in Indianapolis, IN. Raymond was born on Saturday, April 14, 1928, in Tribbey, KY, to Letcher and Stella (Sandlin) Moore. On June 20, 1953, in Jeffersonville, IN, Raymond married Hazel “Jean” (Walker) Moore. They shared 61 happy years together until Hazel’s passing on January 14, 2015. Raymond retired from the Teamsters Union, he was employed by Central States, Emory Transportation, and General Electric for 14 years. Raymond is a believer of Jesus Christ. He had a passion for flying, was a pilot, and owned his own airplane. He also owned a houseboat and motorhome. He enjoyed anything and everything about traveling and vacationing. He was always up for an adventure. Raymond is survived by his only child, his daughter and her husband, Rita and Jerry Davis, 1 granddaughter, Lisa (Eric) Walker, 1 great-granddaughter, Christy Owens, 3 great-grandsons, Jeremy Davis Sr., Tyler Walker, Tanner Walker, 5 great-great-grandchildren, Austin Browning, Kayla Owens, Jeremy Davis Jr., Aubrey Davis, &Theo Walker, 1 brother, Floyd C. Moore of Greenwood, IN, 1 sister, Lydia Peyton of West Palm Beach, FL Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Letcher and Stella Moore, his loving wife, Hazel “Jean” Moore, 3 sisters, Amy Allen, Belle Fancher, and Stella Scott, 2 brothers, Elmer Moore and Charles Moore, and 1 grandson, Robbie Davis. Pastor Bart Smith will conduct funeral services at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Adams Family Funeral Homes &Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM and on Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM all at Adams Family Funeral Homes &Crematory in Crothersville.
