Cougars beat Edinburgh on road

The Trinity Lutheran girls basketball team continued its hot start to the season on Thursday night as the Cougars went on the road to Edinburgh and won 63-38.

Bailey Tabeling led the Cougars in scoring with 27 points while Kailene Cockerham joined her in double figures with 17 points.

Liza Froedge added 7, Madison Keith had 6, Emma Schepman 2, Kayla Goecker 2 and Katelyn Schepman 2.

Trinity (6-0) will play host to Scottsburg on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. with JV starting before that at 6 p.m.

Tigers fall to Switzerland County

The Crothersville girls basketball team went on the road to Switzerland County on Thursday night and suffered a 74-43 defeat.

Zoe Spangler led the Tigers with 20 points, while Kennadi Lakins contributed 10, Tiessa Stevens had 9 and Ella Plasse added 4.

Switzerland County had nine different players score in the ball game with its leading scorer going for 24.

Crothersville (1-6) will go on the road again tonight to take on Cannelton starting at 6 p.m.
