The cause of a wreck that left a 52-year-old Jackson County man dead early Saturday morning in far western Jackson County remains under investigation, police report.

Officers responding to the report of a BMW in a field in the 11500 block of West County Road 100N at about 9:30 a.m. Saturday found Ronald Farace of Brownstown dead, according to a news release from Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Officer Mitch Ray and Reserve Officer Eric Browalski, who initially responded to the report, were later joined by Indiana State Police Trooper Matt Holley, who was called to reconstruct the scene of the accident.
