Library announces December programming

The Jackson County Public Library is offering in person programs for teens and adults in December.

Program location and/or cancellation may depend on county COVID-19 status.

Adults are invited to pick up a take and make holiday diffuser kit at the Seymour or Crothersville libraries from Dec. 6-17 or at the Medora library from Dec. 7-16, while supplies last.

Participants in the adult craft program Create to Care will make holiday cards for nursing home residents and hospice patients at 4 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Seymour Library Meeting Room. The program is limit to 10, ages 18 and up.

Adults may make a jingle bell Christmas ornament at the Crothersville Library at 4 p.m. Dec. 8. Registration is required by Dec. 6 with participation limited to eight.

The Spilling Ink Writers’ Group will meet at 2p.m. Dec. 18 at the Seymour Library. Kathi Linz, an information services asistant at the library, will discuss “Out with the Old, In with the Next Story.”

For Teens ages 12-19, programs will be in the Seymour Library Teen Scene.

Teens can pick up a Kool Aid lip gloss take and make kit Wednesday through Dec. 23, while supplies last.

Participants in the teen craft program Create to Care will make holiday cards for nursing home residents and hospice patients at 4 p.m. Dec. 6. Participation is limited to 10 students in grades 6-12.

Teens are invited to stop in the Teen Scene for Teen Cafe from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 21 for snacks and activities.
