Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups in Seymour and Crothersville plan to gather in person to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in December.

Books are available to check out at the checkout desks or may be available digitally through OverDrive/Libby or hoopla. Program location and/or cancellation may depend on the county’s COVID-19 status.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will discuss their monthly book at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at Cracker Barrel, 211 N. Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour. Information Services Manager Janet Hensen will lead the review of “The Lost and Found Bookshop” by Susan Wiggs. Those attending should bring money if they plan to eat. Sign up for the program when picking up the book at the checkout desk.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets the third Wednesday of each month, will meet in the library meeting room and share their thoughts on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, at 6 p.m. Dec. 15. Crothersville Coordinator Cindy Huckleberry will lead the discussion. The group is open to adults.

Fantastic Fiction will meet in the Seymour Library meeting room and discuss “One Day in December” by Josie Silver at 11 a.m. Dec. 17. Led by Circulation department staff, this group meets the third Friday of each month.
