A bake sale will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at The Magic of Books Bookstore, 113 W. Second St., Seymour.

Hosted by The Boozy Bookworms Book Club, the sale is to help raise funds for bookstore owner Jenna Martinez’s parents. Her stepfather has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and COPD, and her mother also has congestive heart failure and went through open heart surgery in 2007.

The couple’s health has been declining severely the last few years, and they currently are both off work because of their health.

The book club is trying to raise money to help them with medical bills and other expenses.
