Brownstown Town Council to meet Monday night

The Brownstown Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the town hall, 116 E. Cross St., Brownstown.

The agenda includes Conner Barnette presenting an interlocal zoning agreement between the town and county and Terry Jackson discussing the reopening of the Brownstown Senior Citizens Center.

Also, the heads of the wastewater, street and police departments will give reports. That will include updates on the Orchard Lane/Ewing Street drainage, Elm Street drainage, Main Street storm sewer, street department building project and a streetlight on Branch Street. The park board president and board of school trustees representative will give a report, too.

Other items include HVAC at the Ewing Depot, consideration of adoption of the 2022 town budget and an ordinance making the intersection of Bloomington Road, Frances Street and Elm Street a four-way stop.

The meeting is open to the public and press.
