Edward Joseph Huber Jr. 77, of Seymour, IN passed away on September 20, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born in 1943 to the late Edward Joseph Huber Sr. and Evelyn Ruth Cooley Huber.

Edward spent 14 years in law enforcement and retired as Chief of Police from Scottsburg Police Department. During the course of his career at SPD, he held several ranks and also was part of the K-9 unit. He also retired from Jackson County Bank after 25 years as the manager of Security and Maintenance. He was the owner operator of Huber’s Shoe Repair. After retirement, Edward enjoyed going to Hardees with his friends but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Edward is survived by his children; Scott (Bethany) Huber, Holly (Andrew) Voyles, Amy (Glenn) Robbins, and Jerry Huber, grandkids; Alyssa Huber, Ava Voyles, Holland Voyles, Eden Voyles, Josh Ross, and Glen Robbins Jr., six great grandkids; lifelong companion Audrey Huber and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Larry Huber and sisters, Barbara June Hall and Betty McClintock.

Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Thursday September 23, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday September 24, 2021, from 9 until time of service.

Services will be held on Friday September 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral Service. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to the local Shop with a Cop and the Fraternal Order of Police of Scottsburg.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss &Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.
