Police searching for woman over threats

The Seymour Police Department is currently looking for a woman wanted for questioning in an incident that played a part in Seymour High School being on a lockout Wednesday.

Photos of the woman were posted to the Seymour Police Department Facebook page, and Seymour Police Department Public Information Officer Jeremy Helmsing said the posting was in relation to the high school’s lockout.

He also said police were working on identifying her due to threatening statements she made in public.

According to the post, she was last seen at the Circle K gas station at Tipton and O’Brien streets at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday. She left the gas station in a black Chevrolet Impala and is believed to have ties to the Seymour area.
