Mr. Harry E. Hallett Jr., 82, of Brownstown, passed away on September 13, 2021, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in 1939, son of the late Harry Hallett Sr. and Anna (Smith) Hallett in Seymour.

Harry served his country proudly in the United States Navy aboard the USS Forrestal CVA-59. In 1978, he married Ramona “Renee” Hubbard at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown and she preceded him in death. Harry was a member of Brownstown Christian Church and the American Legion. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. Harry also loved racing and spending time with his family. He retired from Cummins after many years of dedicated service. After retirement, he delivered Meals On Wheels.

He is survived by his children, Nancy (James) Mills, David Wayne (Mary) Hallett, Timberly (Robert) Trueblood, Edmond Lewis (Whitney) Hallett, Aaron (Tina) Smith and Pat Smith; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Harry is preceded in death by his beloved wife; parents; sister, Betty Robinson, Helen Brammer; brother, Donald Hallett.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 19, at Voss Chapel from 12:30pm until time of funeral service at 2:30pm.

Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Hilltop Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to Brownstown Christian Church or IU Methodist Hospice.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss &Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.
