The Immanuel Lutheran Guild conducted a regular meeting Tuesday in the fellowship hall at the church with President Joan Nichols presiding. Twenty-three members were present.

The group opened with the singing of “God Bless our Native Land.” Vicar Wagenknecht was the speaker for the evening.

Birthdays and nursing home visitation for the last two months were discussed.

Jackie Hill said the group will be selling pecans, mixed nuts, cashews and walnuts again this year. She asked all members to bring their nut orders to the October meeting so the group will have a better idea of how many nuts to order.

Lisa Lewis talked about the Cookie Walk that will be held Dec. 4.

Refreshments were served by the committee of Judy McKain, Carol Denny and Mary Anne Jordan. A door prize was won by Betty Chastain.

The next meeting will be Oct. 5.
