Lucille Anita Aukamp Fox, 95 of Seymour passed away at Silver Oaks Health Campus on September 3, 2021. She was born December 17, 1925 in St. Peter, Illinois to Ernst Karl Wilhelm “Charley” and Alma Elizabeth Bernhardt Aukamp. She married John M. Fox on March 16, 1946 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2014.

Lucille spent many years on the farm and loved the farm life. She also enjoyed anything outside working with her flowers and gardens. She will always be remembered as a great cook who enjoyed spending time with her family, and she also enjoyed playing cards. She spoke german fluently since her childhood and has been a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for 74 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John M. Fox, her parents, Charley and Alma Aukamp, her parents-in-law, Benjamin Harrison and Nellie Fox, three sisters, Florence Lotz, Cora Neal and Delma Paul and her infant brother, Hugo Aukamp.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, John C. (Pam) Fox, Charles D. (Nancy) Fox and Susan (Scott) Silver, her sister -in-law, Doris Fox, her grandchildren, Erin Fox (John) Zody, Melissa Fox (Matt) Sitterding, Patrick (Miranda) Fox, Stephanie Fox (Craig) Flinn, Ben (Cassie) Fox, Samuel Silver, Charles (Brianna Gore) Silver, Great-grandchildren, Zachary Flinn, Mitchell Flinn, Jackson Fox, Jordan Fox, Annaliese Fox, Breckin Sitterding, Charlotte Zody, Will Zody, Eli Fox, Cali Fox, Emmi Fox, Willow Halliday, and Mila Silver, Great-great-grandchildren, Owen Flinn and Maverick Flinn and Harrison Flinn, on the way.

Lucille’s family has chosen to have a private family service at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or School or Community Provisions, Inc through Burkholder Chapel.
