SEYMOUR
Patricia Baxter, 92, of Seymour, passed away on August 19, 2021, at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
She was born in 1928, daughter of the late George and Dean Galehouse Hart in Akron, Ohio. In 1947, she eloped to Crothersville with Mark Baxter, and they were married for 50 years before his death on April 9, 1998. She worked at Home Federal Savings Bank for over 40 years. Patricia was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seymour and a graduate of Shields High School. Patricia was an equestrian and loved to show Gaited English Horses at the Jackson County fair for over 30 years. She was also a painter, wood carver, member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, member of DAR and loved to ride her lawn mower.
Patricia is survived by her children, Pete (Karen) Baxter, Pamela (John) Stockamp, Lindsey (R. Joseph) Elkins, and Virginia (Dennis) Pinnick; grandchildren, Laura Mantz, Christopher Baxter, Jade Mankiller Bundy, Darin Pinnick Whitaker, Kyle Elkins and Melissa Hayes; great-grandchildren, Carter Baxter, Grayson Baxter, Markus Catterton, Catherine Catterton, Liam Allen Colson Bundy, Indy Rae Hart Whitaker, Sydney Berman.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; sister, Norma J. Hart; brother Arthur Hart.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 4-6pm.
