Brownstown Central Middle School recently sent out a summer informational mailing to provide parents and students with important news for the upcoming 2021-22 school year.

Open houses for parents and students to acquire informational packets are set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 2, 3 and 4 at the school, 520 W. Walnut St., Brownstown.

In the gymnasium, parents will be given the opportunity to verify and update any contact and/or medical information related to their child.

Students also will be able to find and practice locker combinations, locate classrooms and practice following their daily class schedule, while parents will be able to pay book rental, deposit lunch money in their child’s account and purchase physical educational uniforms in the main office and enroll for Harmony access or ask questions about Harmony.

School officials request that face masks be worn in the building during the orientation visit.

Starting the week of July 26, a series of student and parent orientation video links will be added to ms.btownccs.k12.in.us to introduce BCMS teachers and provide additional information as it relates to safety protocols and building procedures.

Principal Doug McClure encourages students, especially those new to the building, to watch the videos to help them when arriving for the first day of school Aug. 6.

Information about signing up for Remind messages and school supply lists for each grade level also are on the school website.
