The American Red Cross plans to conduct two blood drives from 2 to 7 p.m. July 20 in Seymour.

One of the drives will be at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 324 S. Chestnut St., while the other is at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 605 S. Walnut St., according to a news release from the American Red Cross River Valley Region.

A third local blood drive is set from 2 to 7 p.m. July 19 at Jennings County High School, 800 W. Walnut St., North Vernon.

All blood types are needed, and each donation can help save up to three lives.

Schedule an appointment to give blood now by using the Red Cross Blood Donor app, visiting redcrossblood.org, calling 800-733-2767 or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.

To thank donors who help refuel the blood and platelet supply this month, all who come to give through July 31 will receive a $10 amazon.com gift card via email and also will receive automatic entry for a chance to win gas for a year (a $5,000 value). More information and details are available at rcblood.org/fuel.

Also, anyone donates in July will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip for four to Cedar Point or Knottā€™s Berry Farm. To learn more, visit rcblood.org/cedarfair.

In most cases, those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine can donate. Knowing the name of the manufacturer of the vaccine they received is important in determining donation eligibility.
