Brownstown Town Council meeting moved

The Brownstown Town Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the town hall, 116 E. Cross St., Brownstown.

The council normally meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month except for when it falls on a holiday. Today, government offices are closed due to the Independence Day holiday.

The meeting will start with a public hearing on the wastewater/stormwater master plan and consideration of approval of a claim request from Wessler Engineering.

Agenda items include Dawn Edwards requesting a variance to the prohibited animals ordinance, Dan Robison and Conner Barnette discussing the Ewing Depot, an update on the new street department building project, second reading of a mobile food truck ordinance and third reading of an American Rescue Plan Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds ordinance.

New business includes Alvin Killey discussing stormwater washing out property at Ewing Street and Orchard Lane.

The meeting is open to the public and press.
