The Jackson County Public Library is offering online and outdoor programs for teens and adults this month.

Programs will follow the summer learning program theme of Tails and Tales.

Virtual programs will be held over Zoom or posted on the library’s Facebook page with a link to the library’s YouTube channel, which can be viewed at any time. Click the "Subscribe" button on the library’s YouTube channel and the notification bell icon to stay caught up with the library’s virtual programs.

Outdoor programs will be held inside a tent in the Seymour Library parking lot.

At 6 p.m. Monday, Information Services Assistant Kathi Linz will virtually discuss growing herbs.

The Spilling Ink Writers’ Group will meet virtually at 2 p.m. July 17. Linz, who also is a published author, will discuss writing about yourself.

For teens ages 12 to 19, programs will be posted to the JCPL Teen Scene Facebook page or at jcplteenscene on Instagram or offered outside.

Ages 13 to 18 can join the JCPL Teen Scene Discord Server for a MMORPG and Mangia night at 4 p.m. today.

Take-and-make faux taxidermy kits will be available for teens to pick up from July 7 to 28 while supplies last.

Also, teens can sign up to paint a Kitsune mask at 12:30 p.m. July 12 in the library tent. There’s a limit of eight. Registration is required by July 8 at myjclibrary.org.events.
