The Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry Golf Outing is set for July 9 at Shadowood Golf Course, 333 N. Sandy Creek Drive, Seymour.

Registration will start at 7 a.m., a shotgun start is at 8 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.

The team registration fee is $400, and individual registration is $100. The cost includes green fee, golf cart, range balls, prize drawings, a group memento photo for each player and a self-help bag (three mulligans, one length of string and one sandy).

For every five nonperishable food items or $5 you donate at the event, you will receive a ticket for the prize drawing.

Also, there will be a $1,000 hole-in-one prize and contests for longest drive and closest to the pin.

Early registration is available online at anchorhouseshelter.org and clicking on the "Golfer Registration Form" tab. Fees may be paid by check, in person or online.

Proceeds will benefit Anchor House, a nonprofit organization that provides homeless shelters for families with children and individuals and operates a community food pantry in Seymour.
