Local community theater seeks pre-9/11 photos

Actors Community Theater of Seymour will present “New York” in September.

Elyse McGill will be directing the show that’s about the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. She said she proposed the show with the 20-year anniversary in mind.

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3, 4 and 10 and a matinee Sept. 12. Out of respect, the theater will be dark on Sept. 11.

While McGill said she would love to have a large turnout for upcoming auditions, she also would like for people in Jackson County who went to New York City sometime before the terrorist attacks to submit personal pictures.
