Hazel Virginia (Ryan) McKinney, age 88, of Martinsburg, WV passed from this life peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 12, 2021, attended by her family. She was born in Jackson County, Indiana to George Alexander and Sarah Goldie Ryan. She was the 9th of 11 children. She had 3 brothers and 7 sisters. She attended Kurtz Church of the Nazarene as a child and whenever possible later in life. She graduated from Clearspring School in 1951. She was a wife and mother. She co-founded Anchor industries, Inc. and worked in multiple capacities there until she retired in her late 70s. She enjoyed singing and music into the very last hours of her amazing life. She sang publicly and in church choirs wherever she was. She would often break into song spontaneously. She was a girl scout leader and enjoyed time on the computer, crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking, reading, puzzles and crafts. She was a church member of Dragon Slayer International Outreach Ministries in Martinsburg.

They celebrated 35 years of marriage together prior to his passing in 1988. Her Daughter Jo Ellen (McKinney) Abel gave her 3 Grandchildren: Christopher Ryan Abel, Sarah Elizabeth Abel and Amanda Jayne Abel. Her Son Garry Dale (Donna) McKinney gave her 2 Grandsons: Dale Alexander McKinney and Cory Allen McKinney. Her Son Stephen Michael (Toni) McKinney gave her 2 Grandchildren: Stephanie Michelle McKinney & Kodi Ryan McKinney.
Her Grandson Dale Alexander (Diana) McKinney gave her a Great Grandchild Delanie Hope McKinney. She is survived by: Her Sister-In-Law Vivian McKinney. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. And her lifelong friend Rose Wray. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, her son Garry, her granddaughter Stephanie and all of her brothers and sisters: Cecil, Ellen, Merlin, Ollie, Otis, Mary Kaye, Ona Mae, Lois, Bonnie and Joyce.
