Brenda Joyce Walker, 72, of Seymour, Indiana passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana
Born February 21, 1949 in Austin, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Georgia (Raleigh) Deaton.
Brenda graduated from Ivy Tech in 1999 with a Business Administration degree, past Vice-President of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority in Sellersburg, Indiana, and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Crothersville VFW. She retired from Manpower as a Recruiting Specialist.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Greg) Sutton of Seymour, Indiana, daughter-in-law Tammy Carter Killey of Scottsburg, Indiana, brother, Donald (Louise) Deaton of Austin, Indiana, sisters, Wilma Mangels of Charlestown, Indiana, Freda (Jack) Cobb of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ruth (Rufford) Neace of Austin, Indiana, and Bertha (James) White of Austin, Indiana.
She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Cory Killey, Conner Killey, and Niki Wilson., and a great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Wilson.
Pallbearers, Don Mangels, Jimmy White, Greg Sutton, Charlie Burke, Elisha White, and Honorary Pallbearer, George Little.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Walker, a son, Henry Todd Killey, and her siblings, Judie Christie, John T. Deaton, and Christine Deaton.
Graveside Service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Spurgeon Cemetery in Austin, Indiana with Rev. Rufford Neace officiating.
