BROWNSTOWN

Elizabeth “Betty” Ross, 90, of Brownstown, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Salem Crossing.

She was born in 1930 to the late Joseph C. Shirbish and Edna Virginia Arnett.

On December 20, 1977, she married James Ross who preceded her in death in 2020.

Elizabeth was a member of the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her children, Melvin James Ross, Matthew Scott (Memorie) Ross, and Jim Kuthy; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren and sisters Nancy Tackett and Anne Marshall.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her children, Eva May Hammon, Arthur E. Ross, Ruth Elle Ross, Julia Faye Carter, Mike Kuthy, Helen Auber and Bonnie Kuthy; brothers, Franklin Shirbish, Joseph W Shirbish, Robert Shirbish, James Shirbish, Richard Shirbish, Jolly Shirbish and Rusty Shirbish; sisters, Nellie Louise Withrow and Edna Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 12-1pm.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Voss & Sons Funeral Service at 1pm.

Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
