Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. plans to close State Road 250 over the Vernon Fork of the Muscatatuck River on or after June 21 for a $1.2 million bridge replacement project.

The bridge, west of U.S. 31 in Uniontown, is scheduled to close for up to 120 days. The official detour will follow U.S. 31 to U.S. 50 to State Road 11. Multiple small structures and another bridge along State Road 250 were replaced under the same contract last year.

INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free in and near all construction zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
