SEYMOUR
Mary Elaine (Pierce) Shelton, 85, of Seymour, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center.
She was born in 1936 to the late Ray Pierce and Doris Woodmansee Pierce in Brownstown, Indiana.
Elaine was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour.
On October 8, 1955, she married Carrol Dean Shelton, at the Brownstown Baptist Church and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Kevin (Johnnie) Shelton, daughter Linda (Michael) Robson, grandchildren Michelle & Mike Rhodes, Ed & Buffie Mitchell, Shavonne & Mike Moyer, Elaina & Deji Adenyi, Brandon Robinson, Valerie (Asher) Burns, Jeremy & Katherine Robson and Michael J. (Samantha) Robson, II, several great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, half-brother, Jim Pierce, Dick (Lewann) Burrell, Vic (Linda) Pierce, step-brother, Larry (Karen) Lake, Vic (Linda) Pierce, stepsisters Joyce Sierp, and Betty Peters and half-sister Carolyn Schakleford.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean, grandson, Michael Robinson, son in law Michael Robson, brother Danny Pierce, and her parents.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 10am Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour with visitation one hour prior to service.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, June 11, 2021, from 4-7pm.
Burial will follow at Proctor Cemetery, Dixon Chapel.
