Franklin College honored the graduates from the Class of 2021, including one from Jackson County, during commencement May 22 at Stewart "Red" Faught Stadium.

The Jackson County graduate was Katy L. Thompson, the daughter of Patrick Thompson of Cortland and Leanne Powell of Columbus. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater. 

The college conferred 194 undergraduate degrees and 25 graduate degrees. The stadium venue allowed for physical distancing of graduates and guests, and the event was livestreamed on the college’s website.
