SEYMOUR

Mr. George Eddie Simmons, 65, of Seymour, Indiana, went home to be with his Heavenly Father the morning of June 4, 2021, at Lutheran Community Home. Eddie was born in 1955 to George Thomas Simmons and Norma Delphine Koop Kriete in Greensburg, Indiana. He loved his Savior and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. You could always find Eddie outdoors, where he loved to be more than any place else. He had a “green thumb” and was the person to go to if any landscaping was needed. Eddie enjoyed going to the VFW and American Legion with his parents and was an avid Nascar fan. He may have loved being outdoors but more than anything in the world, he loved his mother.

Eddie is survived by his mother, Norma; children, Bradley Simmons; grandson, Tyler Simmons; nephew, Tyson Leathers; niece, Shastin Leathers; and sister, Debbie (Jerry) Leathers.

He was preceded in death by his father, George and his aunts and uncles.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday June 8, 2021, at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Immanuel Lutheran Church conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at 10:30am with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch, and Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating.

Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
