Friends group plans book sales this month

The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library plans to hold some special sales on four days this month.

Sale times and dates are 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 11 and 18 and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 12 and 19 in the large half of the Seymour Library meeting room.

There are no special Friends-members-only sale hours on these dates. Items will be restocked continuously on each sale day.

Masks are required for anyone attending the sales, and shoppers in the room will be limited due to social distancing guidelines.

Regular item sale prices are adult hardbacks, softbound books and music CDs for $1; children’s and young adult books and small paperbacks for 50 cents; and DVDs for $2. Some surplus equipment also may be available as priced.

Donations are still not being accepted at this time until the current inventory is more manageable, which may be possible after these sales.

Anyone unable to visit the sale on any of these days or times can shop from the ongoing sales in the Seymour Library Book Nook or sales carts at the Crothersville and Medora libraries during regular hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Library or renewing their 2020-21 annual membership will find the forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or online at myjclibrary.org/friends. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor. Donations without membership or purchases also are welcomed.
