A Brownstown man was arrested Monday over the course of a traffic stop where identification was falsely reported.

Nathan Kent White, 42, faces charges of being a habitual traffic violator, theft and false informing.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Officer Alan Jones initiated a traffic stop in Seymour at the intersection of Coventry and Hampton drives. During the stop, White gave his brother’s identity information.

When Officer Jordan Hawn arrived to the scene to assist Jones, he recognized the driver as White and not his brother.

In the truck that White was driving, officers located stolen tools from Missouri. He also had a driving status of being a habitual traffic violator.
