SEYMOUR
Brenda Darlene Spradlin, 59, of Seymour and formerly of Haleysburg, died at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour. She had been ill for 3 weeks. She was a member of Haleysburg Nazarene Church and a graduate of Salem High School. Brenda was a daycare provider and worked at Brownstown Elementary School as a Special Needs Aide. She enjoyed going to yard sells and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Brenda was born on September 19, 1961 in Seymour to James & Gwynden Fleetwood Dillman. Her survivors include her mother, Gwynden of Vallonia; daughters, Courtney (Jonathan Chilton) Baldwin & Jamie (Ryan Reynolds) Bowers both of Seymour; brother, James “Rick” (Crystal Bohall) Dillman of Vallonia; sisters, Marvina (Roger) Ferguson of Campbellsburg, Tammy (Rick) Alvey of Seymour, & Pamela (Rick) Baughman of Vallonia; grandchildren, Jameson Baldwin, Harper & Hazel Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Adam Corey Bowers.
Funeral services for Brenda will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with Matt Roberts officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Johnson Funeral Home to help the family with expenses.
