Franklin College honored its students in late April for their exceptional scholarly efforts during the 2020-21 academic year with merit awards and scholarships.

The annual Spring Honors Convocation was held in two parts in keeping with COVID-19 guidelines.

Jackson County students honored include:

• Andrew R. Montgomery, son of Ty and Tiffany Montgomery of Seymour, received the Ross G. and Pauline Devore Crump Endowed Scholarship
• Katy L. Thompson, daughter of Patrick Thompson of Cortland and Leanne Powell of Columbus, received the Blue Key Dramatic Trophy for Theatre.
