Mr. Ronald L “Ron” McCoy, 83, of Seymour, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Ron was an avid Cubs, IU Hoosiers, and Pacers fan. He had many hobbies, but his favorite was fixing up old classic cars. He also loved to sing country music. Ron loved his Savior and was a faithful member of Peter’s Switch Church of the Nazarene.

Ronald was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1938, the son of Charles and Carrie (Loudermilk) McCoy.

On December 5, 1959, in Bedford, Indiana, he married Karen Hunsucker who survives.

Ron was employed at Cummins Engine Company for 29 years and at Arvin Industry for 18 years.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Sexton (Gary McAlarney); sons, Kevin (Joyce) McCoy, Mike (Denise) McCoy, and Randall (Lisa) McCoy; grandchildren Carrie (Mike) Kruse, Kyle (Beverly) Sexton, Krystal (Joe) Petro, Jenny (Ed) Villegas, Jason (Audra) Vroman, Brady (Courtney) Cockerham, Ethan McCoy and Eric McCoy, 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marsha (Clarence) Davidson, brother-in-law Jerry Hunsucker and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 10am until time of service at 12pm.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
