BCMS Academic Super Bowl team places third in state

After preparing for four months, Brownstown Central Middle School students earned Class 3 Top 10 state recognition for math, English and overall performance in the Academic Super Bowl during virtual competition May 3.

Math, English, science, social studies and interdisciplinary teams members answered 25 multiple choice questions related to this year’s topic, “The American Woman: A Century of Progress — 1920-2020.”

The BCMS math team finished as Class 3 state runner-up, and the English team finished in fourth place.

These scores along with final scores from science, social studies and interdisciplinary competitions were totaled, earning BCMS third place as a Class 3 Indiana Academic Super Bowl 2021 top 10 overall school.
