Seymour rolls past Charlestown

The bats were hot on Tuesday evening for the Seymour baseball team as it defeated Charlestown 18-6 on the road. The Owls accumulated 12 hits on the day.

Vince Wilson had 1 hit, 4 runs and 1 RBI; Bret Perry had 2 hits and 4 runs; Charlie Longmeier had 1 hit, 2 runs and 3 RBI; Brayden Wilson had 2 hits and 5 RBI; Aiden Darlage had 2 hits, 1 run and 4 RBI; Skylar Cockerham had 2 hits and 1 RBI; Treyton McCormick had 1 hit, 1 run and 2 RBI; Brandon Hubbard 1 hit and 1 run; Luke Brummett had 1 run and 1 RBI; Jack VonDielingen had 1 run and 1 RBI; Jounes Rodriquez had 2 runs, and Jack Pennington had 1 run.

Cody Ruble got the win on the mound for the Owls, allowing 6 runs, 8 hits and 5 walks while striking out two. Longmeier pitched the final inning and gave up 0 runs, 0 walks and 1 hit with 1 strikeout.

The Owls (10-9) will look to continue that momentum today at home against Trinity.
