The 22nd annual Great U.S. 50 Yard Sale is set for Friday through Sunday.
Participation is open to all interested, be they sellers or buyers, for the sales that stretch the entire route of U.S. 50.
Event Coordinator Tom Taylor of North Vernon said in a news release that last year’s sale was very small due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he is hopeful there will be a strong rebound this year.
"People are anxious to get back to normal," Taylor said. "COVID restrictions are being lifted just in time for the sale. The weather prediction for Indiana is dry and upper 80s. This could be a very big sale."
There is no central registration, and it’s free to participate. Participants are reminded they should not set up on state right-of-way or private property without permission. Participants also should consider parking and highway safety, exit and entry when setting up.
