Get your tutus, sequins, sparkles and Dolly Parton wigs ready.

Registration is now open for the inaugural Dolly Dash, a 5K run/walk and 1K dog walk set for 9 a.m. July 17 at Harmony Park, 753 W. Second St., Seymour. Sign up online at raceentry.com/races/dolly-dash/2021/register.

Event T-shirts are available only for purchase during registration online. They will not be available for purchase on race day.

The cost including a shirt is $40 for the adult run, $25 for the kids run or $30 for the dog walk. If you don’t want a shirt, the cost is $20 for the adult run, $5 for the kids run and $10 for the dog walk.

Proceeds will go to literacy initiatives in Jackson County, including READ Jackson County and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Prizes for the overall top three adult winners include a set of four tires installed courtesy of Big O Tires of Seymour (value up to $500); a Yeti cooler courtesy of Big O Tires of Seymour (value $275); and basic window tinting for a four-door car courtesy of Fine Line Window Tinting (value $225).

Those who register early online through July 1 will get a swag bag filled with items from area businesses.

There also will be a free raffle. Each participant and spectator gets one ticket for a chance to win prizes, including items and gift cards from local businesses. You must be present to win.

Race timing will be done by Indiana Timing.
