The Indiana Department of Transportation announces nightly lane closures on the Interstate 65 bridges over U.S. 50 at Seymour starting Monday.
INDOT contractor Ragle Inc. will complete joint repair and replacement over a 20-day period.
Lane closures will take place on weeknights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting. No lane restrictions are planned on weekends. Law enforcement officers will be on-site as needed to assist with closures.
The $250,000 contract was awarded in January and is expected to be complete by the end of June. Similar work was completed last week on two State Road 45 bridges in Brown County.
INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
Motorists can monitor road closures, road conditions and traffic alerts in southeastern Indiana any time via facebook.com/INDOTSoutheast, Twitter @INDOTSoutheast, indot.carsprogram.org and through mobile apps that can be downloaded from iTunes App Store and the Google Play store for Android.
