Crothersville graduation set for May 21

The 2021 Crothersville High School graduation ceremony will be at 8 p.m. May 21 in the main gymnasium at the school, 109 S. Preston St., Crothersville.

Seniors will receive six vouchers for the ceremony for family and friends to attend. Each guest is required to wear a mask and sit in their family groups. Tickets will be collected at the door, and there will be no admittance without a voucher.

Principal Douglas Ballinger said this ceremony will put the school at approximately half the capacity of a normal graduation, and this allows guests to socially distance safely.

Seniors should plan for extra time for pictures before the ceremony. After the final march, the graduates will join their families instead of all families crowding the gym floor.

If Jackson County’s COVID-19 color designation changes, Ballinger said this graduation plan may need to be amended.
