Charles was born in 1934 in Attala, Alabama, to the late Rufus and Bizzie Lee (Beard) Brock. In 1950, the Brock family moved to Jackson County from Alabama and began his working career at Arvin Industries where he had 25 years of dedicated service. He also worked at Cummins Security for 21 years before retiring in 1996. After retirement, he and his wife Joan owned and operated Brock’s Woodworking for many years. Charles lived in Seymour, but his roots were in Alabama and he traveled back over the years to attend family reunions and to go to his favorite flea market known as “Trade Day” in Collinsville, Alabama.

Charles married Joan Trapp on June 29, 1952 in Seymour at Christ Temple Apostolic, and she preceded him in death. He loved his Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of Seymour Christ Temple Apostolic.
