INDIANAPOLIS — Another 1,263 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Indiana, bringing the state’s total to 707,111 since the start of the coronavirus pandemic more than a year ago.

Five more people are confirmed to have died from the virus, the Indiana Department of Health said Saturday.

Another 408 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record, the state said.

More than 12,800 Indiana residents are confirmed to have died from the virus since the pandemic’s start.

About 3.7 million doses of vaccine for the virus have been administered across the state. The state said more than 1.5 million people now are fully vaccinated.
