Chamber announces agribusiness scholarship winners

The Seymour Chamber of Commerce environmental committee has announced the Dick Moren Agribusiness Scholarship recipients.

Kourtney Otte, a senior at Seymour High School, was awarded the $1,000 scholarship. She is the daughter of William and Angie Mousa and will pursue a degree in agriculture education at Purdue University.

Macey Stuckwisch, a senior at Brownstown Central High School, was awarded the $500 scholarship. She is the daughter of Keith and Misty Stuckwisch and will pursue an agribusiness management degree at Ivy Tech Community College.

The Dick Moren Agribusiness Scholarship is open to any Jackson County high school senior who will pursue an ag-related degree at a college or university.

The award ceremony, which is typically held during the Seymour Chamber Ag Breakfast, has been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The chamber is a membership organization focused on connecting, building and growing its members, businesses, partners and community. The vision of the organization is to be an engaged chamber ensuring Seymour cultivates a thriving and prosperous business environment.
