Franklin College junior goalie Elliott Clark of Brownstown has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference defensive player of the week for his performance in net.

This was the second week in a row the Seymour High School graduate won the honor.

In a win and a tie last week for the Grizzlies, Clark gave up just two goals, one in each contest, while making 18 saves.

Franklin tied Bluffton 1-1 with Clark blocking eight shots, including a late block that was a game-saving save. Then Clark made 10 saves in a 3-1 Franklin victory over the same Bluffton squad.

Clark was averaging 7.33 saves a game with one game left in the season against Transylvania.
