Leak reported at Seymour gas station

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management recently was notified of a fuel leak at a Seymour gas station.

The incident occurred March 22 at Circle K, 601 E. Tipton St., and was reported to IDEM by the store’s owner or operator, according to a news release issued Monday by the Jackson County Health Department.

Local health departments are required by state statute to inform the public of the discovery of released regulated substances at an underground storage tank site or in the surrounding area under 329 or a spill or overfill under 329.
