Etta Eileen “Dolly” Ault passed away peacefully on the morning of March 22, 2021 at Hoosier Christian Village of Brownstown. She was 96.

Dolly entered this life on March 11, 1925 in Medora, Indiana. She was the youngest daughter of Otis and Maybelle (Joyce) Byarlay.

She grew up in the Clear Spring area before marrying Sylvester Raymond (Cotton) Ault on July 8, 1942 in Medora. This union of 47 years was blessed with four children, Sharon, James (Jim), Rudy, and Sheila. Cotton preceded Dolly on July 19, 1989.

Dolly was a devoted wife, loving mother, and Granny to all. She was a member of the Weslyan church of Medora.

She is survived by her children , sons, Jim Ault and his wife Brenda of Medora, Rudy Ault and his wife MaryAnn of Medora, daughters Sharon Guthrie of Medora and Sheila Gray and her husband Ronnie of Vallonia, ten grandchildren, Michelle Stout and her husband Todd, Natalie Wheeler and her husband Jeremy, Donna Jones and her husband Buren, Daryle Guthrie, Sherry Mullins and her husband David, Rusty Gray and his wife Holly, Keith Gray and his wife Melody, Bobby Baughman, and Clint Ault and his wife Jessica, a grand son-in-law Keith Owens, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren, and two more great-great grandchildren on the way.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Anna Elliott and Kathleen Brown, seven brothers, Oscar Joyce, Volney Joyce, Paul Eglen, Ervin Byarlay, Robert Byarlay, Tom Byarlay and Alva Persinger, granddaughter Ramona Owens, a great-grandaughter Brook Weddell, and a great-great grandson Ronin Cady and a son-in-law Thomas Guthrie.

Funeral Service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home on Thursday March 25, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Sawyers officiation. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel-Proctor Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Hague Funeral Home of Medora from 11:00am- 1:00pm on Thursday March 25, 2021.

Memorials may be written in Dolly’s name to Proctor Cemetery- Dixon Chapel or to the Carr Township Conservation Club.
