Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors LP plans to close State Road 11 on or after March 29 to start work on the first of two small structure replacement projects in Bartholomew County.

The first structure is located approximately 3.5 miles north of Interstate 65 over an unnamed tributary to Thompson Slough just south of County Road 850S. State Road 11 is expected to close for around two weeks at this location with an official detour route of State Road 46 to the interstate.

The second structure is located approximately 4.5 miles north of the interstate over an unnamed tributary to Thompson Slough north of County Road 800S. State Road 11 will close for around two weeks at this location following completion of the first. The official detour will be the same.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
