Christine Coomer, 77, of Seymour, IN, passed away at 4:45 AM on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at IU Health in Indianapolis, IN. Christine was born on Wednesday, December 29, 1943, in Hazzard, KY to the parents of Sherman and Mae (Adams) Campbell. Christine worked at H.O. Canfields, retired from Walmart after working there for 17 years, and also retired from McDonald’s, all businesses were in Seymour, IN. Christine attended college for Art and studied to be a Dental Assistant. Christine was of Apostolic Pentecostal faith, a faithful prayer warrior, a great Christian counselor, and had been a minister since 1973. She enjoyed fishing and was a great cook. She was famous for her chicken & dumplings and biscuits & gravy. She loved all of her grandbabies and spending time with her family. Survivors include her 3 children, Sherry L. Sedlarik of Colon, MI, Dennis Ray (Melissa) Coomer of Austin, IN, Angela D. (Kris L.) Hunley of Uniontown, IN, the children’s father, Ray Coomer of Crothersville, IN, 12 grandchildren, Becky (Chase) Crose, Ashley (Tony) Foghino, Samantha (Cory Beck) Combs, Taylor (Andrew Bowers) Combs, Tiffany (Travis) Rutherford, Victoria (Robert) Bannister, Erica (Dustin Cross) Fox, Michael Taylor, Josh (Leslie) Fox, Mariah (Dustin) Watkins, Jeffrey A. (Ginger) Jewell Jr., and Brooklyn Pace and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Barbara Napier, Eugene Campbell, Sherman Campbell Jr., and Dean Campbell. Reverend Paul Hensley will conduct funeral services at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at New Providence Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville. Please follow the CDC’s recommendation and guidelines while attending the visitation and the funeral service. Face masks are required per state mandate.
