Seymour Police Department unveils new body cams

The Seymour Police Department recently announced officers are beginning to have their body cameras replaced by a new model.

Police will now use a camera from the company COBAN that features a 270-degree field of view, improved audio and video quality and a 30-second playback feature that will load footage from the 30 seconds prior to when recording is started.

This is the fifth generation of body cameras that the Seymour Police Department has used since 2007.

Body cameras are used any time police are on a call or in contact with the public.
