Mary Jane Guffey, 79, of Brownstown, entered eternal life Friday, March 5, 2021 at Schneck Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was born in 1941 to Howard and Nellie (Watts) Dixon in Medora, Indiana who preceded her in death.

In 1965, she married Clifford Guffey who survives.

Jane enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves behind her three children. Two daughters, Teresa (David) Straughn, Christina Simkins and a son, Brian Guffey. Seven grandchildren, Heather Stewart, Brandon Straughn, Alex Straughn, Courtney Weaver, Mallorie Lovelace, Colten Simkins and Olivia Guffey; seven great grandchildren Braden Guffey, Carter Weaver, Elexus Lovelace, Emily Huebel, Allonna Guffey, Breayln Sizemore and Davis Straughn. One sister, Pauline Isaacs and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a great grandson, Gabriel Sizemore, siblings, Howard Dixon Jr., Dixie Lane, Marilyn Underwood and Barbara Brewer and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jane’s life will be held on March 20, 2021 at her home from 1-4 pm.

In keeping with Jane’s wishes, cremation services are being provided through Voss & Sons Funeral Service and Crematory. Cards and notes of condolence are most welcome.
