The National Congress of Old West Shootists national convention is set for March 19 through 21 at Seasons Lodge and Conference Center, 560 E. State Road 46, Nashville.

The public is welcome to attend the seminars and vendor area and visit the carnival-style “shooting gallery” and participate by wearing their old west outfits.

The organization promotes safe western action shooting, including the re-enactment and promotion of the historical Old West heritage in all of its ethnic, social and occupational diversity during the period of 1865 to 1899.

Activities start at 9 a.m. March 19 with seminars on a variety of Old West topics.

There also is an Old West show and sale with vendors selling clothing, firearms, leather, books, period collectibles and more.

The convention will end with a worship service featuring Dewayne Liebrandt, a missionary to the deaf in Thailand and Colombia, followed by a closing ceremony.

Single-day tickets are available at the door for $5. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

For information, call “High Card” at 812-391-5186 or “Lite Colonel” at 812-350-7269 or visit the convention website at ncowsconvention.com.
