Police department warns against drone use

The Seymour Police Department is warning local residents about illegally using drones to record people without consent.

A situation where a drone crashed into the window of an underaged female’s bedroom prompted the police to issue a warning on Facebook.

Police also were asking for information about an owner of a drone flying near Seymour-Redding Elementary School.

Certain acts of uninvited recording can be considered voyeurism, a crime in Indiana.

In the post, the Seymour Police Department said, "Stay safe and keep those drones out of no-fly zones."
